What does the course include?
• Basic construction, names of components and the purpose and use of all controls and gauges
• Use of the operator’s handbook, etc
• Pre-use start, running checks and close-down procedure
• Preparing the machine for site travel
• Attaching and removing Forks and buckets
• Travelling the machine over different terrain including rough, undulating ground unloaded and loaded
• Correct travelling up and down substantial inclines unloaded and loaded
• Manoeuvring through chicanes and limited clearance spaces in a forward and reverse direction unloaded and loaded
• Precautions and actions for overhead services and other hazards
• Loading procedures Loading at different heights (up to 12m for all sizes)
Loading lorry beds
Undercutting loads
Lifting long loads
Lifting loads and dropping at full reach
Stacking loads
• Prepare the Telehandler for road travel
With this course we offer 4 levels depending on your experience.
• Beginner (5 day)
• Intermediate (3 day)
• Experienced (1 day am training test pm)
• Test Only
